McNeil
Maverick Baseball Hall of Honor
Starting with the 2008 baseball
season, the McNeil Maverick Baseball Hall of Honor committee
will induct their first inaugural Hall of Honor Class. The
McNeil Maverick Baseball Hall of Honor honors the extraordinary
individuals who have played a role in developing the McNeil
Baseball program. The goal of the Hall of Honor is
twofold:
- To recognize graduated baseball players of McNeil High School
for outstanding achievements and contributions to society after
graduation. - To promote role models for student-athletes enrolled at McNeil
High School.
A 3-5 member judging committee comprised
of McNeil High School staff and facility will select inductees
who have made special contribution to the McNeil baseball
program. The Hall of Honor induction ceremonies will be
every two years. Selection
criteria for the McNeil High School Baseball Hall of Honor include the
following:
Selection is based on the individual's contribution to
the McNeil baseball program and could include the
individual's college and/or professional baseball career.
Selection is also based on an individual's citizenship in his
post high school years.
An individual is eligible
5
years after graduating from McNeil High School.
Individuals eligible for induction include players, coaches,
school staff and others who have made special contributions to
the success of the McNeil Baseball Program and the community.
The McNeil Maverick Baseball Hall of Honor provides a
perfect opportunity to properly and permanently recognize the young men who helped established
the McNeil baseball program.
Each member of the Hall
